Toyota Evaluates Unintended Acceleration Complaints in Remedied Vehicles

Toyota Recalls Put Into Context By Edmunds.com

February 26, 2010

Get Recall Repairs Now Regardless of Where You Bought Your Vehicle

Gaithersburg, MD  The Toyota Service Center of Fitzgerald Auto Mall is pleased to announce increased capacity to repair recalls on affected models of Toyotas.  Any Toyota owner can call to make an appointment, regardless of where you purchased your vehicle.

We hired extra service technicians, added extra service bays, and extended our service hours.  We are staying ahead of current customer demand.  We have shifts that work well into the night, as late as one o'clock in the morning to accommodate all repairs and minimize any inconvenience to our customers.  Our technicians are proficient with the recall repairs and are extremely swift and skilled through the number of vehicles successfully completed to date.

Make an appointment.  We are open tomorrow, Saturday, February 27, from 7 am to 4 pm.  If you come in later in the day, we will lend you a car, repair it, and have it for you by Monday evening.

We also make overnight repairs during the week.  Drop your Toyota to us in the evening on your way home from work, get a free loaner car, and pick up your car in the morning!

"We are one of the largest Toyota service centers in the United States.  I usually have 65 cars in my loaner fleet for customers to use.  For this recall, I almost tripled the number of free loaners for customers," says Jack Fitzgerald.

Call and make your Toyota recall repair appointment today.  Call 1-800-794-3230 or visit www.FitzMall.com.

Since 1966, when the National Safety Highway Traffic Administration was established, there have been more than 390 million recalls by all manufacturers.

A recent article on CNN.com* tells readers, "Sudden unintended acceleration is not a problem limited to Toyota.  Many car manufacturers, including the other four with the largest shares of the U.S. market, have had to recall vehicles because of this issue."  The top five car manufacturers in the United States are General Motors, Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chrysler.  NHTSA has investigated numerous consumer complaints about sudden unintended acceleration in cars made by the top five brands in more than one of its models.  Each manufacturer has had to recall their vehicles to fix various conditions.  Sudden unintended acceleration problems have also led to recalls for vehicles made bi Nissan, BMW, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Mercedes-Benz, Kia, Mazda, Land Rover, Suzuki and Volvo.

Jack Fitzgerald opened his first dealership in 1966.  "In my experience, I am not aware of recall vehicles suffering dramatic loss of resale value in the long term.  I absolutely do not believe that the long-term value of your Toyota has been diminished.  The media has hyped the recent recall issues," states Mr. Fitzgerald.

Don't sell your car for less, simply because of the recall.  We believe you will get the full value if your are patient.

Please contact us with any questions.
